I am extremely thankful to Allah that I have been given the opportunity to study the Islamic sciences at Ibn Kathir Academy. In my opinion, what really separates Ibn Kathir Academy is the attention that they pay to all aspects of the Islamic sciences. The classes are not one dimensional, and there are a multitude of fruitful and wide-ranging discussions that take place within the classes. Along with that, the teachers are extremely helpful and are always ready to aid the students. I would highly encourage anyone who is looking to study the Islamic sciences under proficient scholars to enroll at Ibn Kathir Academy.

Studying at Ibn Kathir Academy has been a meaningful experience and an opportunity I am very grateful to have gotten. The approaches taken by the shuyūkh to make their lectures inclusive, exhaustive and critical has always left students interested in the Islamic sciences feeling welcome and more than satisfied with the courses regardless of backgrounds. The teachers are also always open to questions and discussions with the students which has created an atmosphere at the Academy that breeds healthy skepticism in the students while maintaining respect and humility towards tradition. I have benefitted immensely from Ibn Kathir Academy. Whether someone is a beginner or an advanced student, I admire the variety of important classical texts offered at various levels. The teachers are excellent at giving students the correct understanding of the texts. During classes, there are also mention many valuable lessons and takeaways mentioned beyond the surface-level meanings. This motivates us to continue studying and researching our vast scholarly tradition. The class environments are also very welcoming for asking questions and having discussions related to the course material.

It is a blessing to study sacred sciences under the instructors at Ibn Kathir. I enjoy the way everything is meticulously explained and clarified until there is no room for doubts or questions. Usually, instructors focus on cursorily explaining the topics and sometimes leave the students thinking about the topics, perhaps even misunderstanding some concepts and ideas. But not at Ibn Kathir. The unique study of Arabic, the explanations about prosody, the exposure to different texts – both printed and manuscripts, the extensive citations, the unique discussions and the unbiased takeaways from the opinions – all make the classes at Ibn Kathir much more satisfying and exciting. I appreciate the efforts of the teachers and pray to Allah that he grants us all the ability to engage in sacred sciences with such virtuosity.
