Shaykh Khālid ibn Nabīl al-Wajīh

Shaykh Khalid ibn Nabil al-Wajih al-Hasani

Sh. Khalid was born and raised in heart of Arab lands, Yemen. He completed his major Arabic studies in Yemen, further pursuing it in different parts of the Middle East, Asia and Africa, learning and benefitting at the feet of Muslim scholars from different backgrounds. He is an assistant instructor at Ibn Kathir Academy, and has years of prior teaching experience with different organizations in North America, including Salam Foundation based in Dallas, Texas.

Education

Having studied various sacred sciences, Sh. Khalid specializes in the variant modes and readings of the Qur’an. His teachers include:

  • Sh. Muhammad `Uthman Sulayman (d. 1442) [Sudan]
  • Sh. `Abd al-Rahman ibn `Abdullah al-Mulla [Saudi]
  • Sh. Yahya ibn Ahmad al-Hulayli [Yemen]
  • Sh. Muhammad ibn Ahmad Mahmud [Somalia]

 

Formal Authorization

He has been authorized formally by hundreds of scholars from around the world, in different subjects and writings. More particularly, he has been formally authorized by multiple experts in the ten ten major readings [al-ʿashr al-kubrā], as well as all major words on tajwid and qira’ah.

Writings

He has authored multiple writings in Qur’an recitation, hadith nomenclature. His compendium of chains of transmission, Ikram al-Mannan al-Bari, has also been published.
