Shaykh `Abd al-Rahmān ibn Mahfūż al-Turkmānī

Sh. `Abd al-Rahmān hails from Médéa, Algeria. He began his studies in Algeria at the tender age of 10, where he memorized the Qur’ān.

He later focused on religious sciences and studied advanced-level texts in Mālikī jurisprudence under the supervision of senior qualified scholars of West Africa. After that, he traveled to Hanafī lands to study Hanafī jurisprudence with notable scholars of the school.

In addition to jurisprudence, he steadily focused on the Qur’ānic sciences for years, mastering all sciences pertaining to the Qur’ān, particularly the science of Qur’ānic readings with a keen focus on the variations of Warsh and Qālūn, while attaining the highest chains in al-Jazariyyah and al-Shāţibiyyah from experts.
